Working on owning the author moniker with the goal of creating stories representing the complicated nature of being born and raised below the Mason-Dixon line. That complication being the simultaneous pride and embarrassment one feels to let others know you're from the South. Knowing outsider's perceptions. Knowing some of these perceptions to be completely false. Knowing some perceptions of Southerners hold true for many individuals living in communities across all the Southern states. Fried chicken. Sweet tea. Biscuits. Bluegrass music. Hell, anything fried, honestly.
